"What happens if...?"
I paint because I have to. My head is full of ideas, and one question almost always leads to another: "What happens if I try this?"
I'm a Norwegian artist who lived many years in London, and now split my time between London, Marbella, and Oslo. I trained in traditional painting, but discovered along the way that I thrive more on exploring than following rules. I rarely start with a finished image in my head — instead, I let colour, texture, and material lead the process as the painting develops. Some of the works I love most have come from happy accidents and discoveries I could never have planned.
That question — "what happens if...?" — has shaped every collection I've made.
Liquid Geometry explores fluidity and intuition. Created on acetate with acrylics and often using my hands, these works are reversed, revealing a hidden perspective — what is seen on the surface is not always the full story.
Joy of Movement is built with a palette knife in thick, textured layers of acrylic and oil — each piece begins with a raw, snakeskin-like texture, built up before paint is added on top. The final surface is shaped instinctively, channelling whatever I'm feeling in the moment — sometimes the memory of the sea, sometimes the looseness of people dancing.
Orbits of Light was born from personal reflection during times of loss. It represents the cyclical nature of life — beginnings and endings, light and dark. These circular forms echo the idea that we are constantly evolving, shedding old layers and moving through different phases. Change can be uncomfortable, but it often leads to growth and new beginnings.
Sense of Place is observational and quiet — pieces painted in response to a specific location, a table, a coastline, a corner of a room that held a moment worth keeping. Less about the view, more about how it felt to be there.
The Living Line is a single, continuous stroke, drawn without lifting the hand — each figure captured in one unbroken line. Nothing is corrected or redrawn. What you see is the line as it was first felt.
Alongside my abstract work, I also create representational pieces. I'm open to commissions across styles, working closely with clients to bring their vision to life.
Colour is at the centre of everything I create. I believe colour can change the mood of a room and affect how we feel. My hope is that every painting invites people to slow down, look a little longer, and discover something of their own in the work.
